Hey all,

I'm looking to buy some half decent protective trousers that i can use to and fro from work, so they have to be easy to put on (slip over any type of trousers) and quick to do that!

I'm getting a bit fed up of sliding on tight leathers for a traffic weaving journey into work!

Obviously i still want the protection side of things.

Does anyone personally own anything like this or no of anything worth considering? under the 100 pound mark?

Cheers, Ben

i wear kevlar jeans over suit trousers.

www.hoodjeans.com

cost about 60 quid, their sizing is generous. if you were a 34 jeans normally, get a 32 for a good fit and a 34 to get stuff under.

oh - 3 or 4 crashes in them, all my skin is still there and the kevlar part isn't even scuffed.

Got a pair of Rukka.. would definately reccommend them - have even been slammed into the back of a van (no comments TiN!) and kept my legs ok..

They're not cheap but they do the biz and have never let any water in!! Laughing Laughing

i dont bother with the knox armour, its uncomfortable and bulky.

they took about 3 days to a week to come, i bought them online - there was no online order function, so i just put all of my details into an email and fired it over.

but yeh, good jeans, the kevlar is under all of the denim so your safe if you slide for a bit.

Hein-Gericke do lots of cheapish textile trouser stuff, with the squeegy protection padding stuff, (which is apparently just as good as the 'solid stuff')
Makes it a bit more comfortable and practical for bunging on over trousers.

Hein-Gericke shops are a bit of a bugger to find normally though. Thare arent that many. Although you may be lucky.

I have a pair of JTS reissa trousers they have a removable lining can be worn with and without someting underneath, armour and are warm and wterproof. Also as protective trousers go relitively cheep - although I did get them at the bike show.

They do however make me look like I am wearing a nappy but perhaps that is not the trousers but my arse that does that!
