Am I checking my bike's oil right? When it's leant over on the sidestand, I can't see any oil in the little window, but if I stand it upright it goes right up to the top. Does that sound right?

+1 would also add that some manufacturers recommend running bike for a few minutes switching off then check level after 3 mins or so.

"It takes two baby..." have someone hold it upright and check the sight glass yourself or vice-versa. I can just about do it one-handed but I prefer someone to help Wink

Check wet sump motors the way described above, dry sump motors are checked a little differently, but 9/10 bikes are wet sump. Wink
