I've had these boots a while now and they have done me well and I'd buy them again. Just wondering before I fork out on some new boots if they can get resouled or anything as coming up to winter they won't be too clever.

Thanks mate Thumbs Up , I'll give sidi a call in the morning and ask my Dad if he knows any cobblers then weigh up the costs against a new pair I could get at the NEC this year.

i've had my boots not even 5months and I can tell the soles will die well before the boot, I think they deliberately make the soles out of soft rubber so you have to buy new boots !!!

I've had my Sidi black rains less than 2 months and the toe has nearly worn through on one of them. I think that says more about where I put my feet than Sidi, though Laughing

When I read the title to this thread I thought it was some sort of clever play on words. I have a worn soul. Think I need a new one.

Maybe it's just the crack talking. I don't know Confused

Definately the crack talking my friend

Minhdinh, that's what I was worried about, don't see how they can do a good job but might just have to get a new pair then.

Had them 3 years n bought them from a mate for £20 so I don't think I've done too bad lol

Sidi's are renowned for doing that.

Soft thin soles for more feel for racers.

Good idea on a winter boot without sliders... Confused

I've been caught out before on shiny smooth slippery roads and no grip on the boots. Bloody Sidi!

Dropped the bike due to the slipperiness of the Sidi soles.

well the reason why i think it is funny is that they basically put on top a shoe print type durable rubber. so if you do look underneath, it looks like a shoe. if your boots are still in good nick, then it's a good idea if you're not bothered about the look.

My Altberg boots have just turned up, £150's worth, and I have them on now. They reek quality and they're as comfortable as a glove. Hand-made in Yorkshire by a small company of 17 people using traditional craftsmanship allied to new technology (I got that out of the pamphlet). Well pleased. Thumbs Up Very Happy

I did. These aren't bike-boots, they're romping stomping rabbit-crushing all-terrain muthafuhkkers.

I was expecting something deep man... deep and meaningful.

Maybe the boots' souls are worn out? They're tired of damp smelly feet in them all the time, tired of being dragged along the road when their owner gets calf-cramp, tired of like as a good boot. Aww, poor boots. Sad
