Just wondering what the general consensus is regarding Hayden's move to Ducati ?

For most riders it seems to be a bad move, but can Hayden wrestle the Duke like Stoner ? It seems to me that Hayden is fed up of being the team's "second" rider, but obviously that isn't going to change at Ducati. Should he of gone to a team that would regard him as their best rider, and reap the benefits of the extra support he thinks he's been lacking at HRC ?

Also, do the riders help each other in terms of getting the most out of the bike ? Is Stoner going to impart his wisdom of how to man handle the bike round the track, or will he keep schtum ?

I think its a smart move by Nicky. He was a dirt tracker when he was younger I think so going sideways is second nature to him.

I say good luck to him, but I think by mid season he will be doing better in red than at HRC. Thumbs Up

Not sure if Stoner will be good buddies with Hayden or not. Time will tell.

I think he is one of the few who would be able to ride the Ducati in a competitive manner.

Big fan of his, hope he is at the pointy end next year.

The Elias move is suprising given how he has warmed up to the bike. Ducati were certainly keen to hang onto him and I'd have thought another season's worth of riding like the last 4 or so races and he would be a dead cert for a factory bike.

As for the Hayden move, I think it's great, the most important thing is that he should be relaxed again. Hopefully he will get some cooperation going with Stoner, I can't understand how a garage can be allowed to work under the conditions they were in the factory team.

I honestly can't see Stoner wanting to help Nicky...

It's a good move if he gets on with the bike, otherwise it's a bad move. We'll only know when we see him at Qatar in 09.

Its obviously a good move for Hayden as it means a factory bike and a factory wage. Hopefully Ducati will treat both riders as equals, but somehow I can't see that happening.

O yeahhhh. Cool

We all know the media will crucify him if he doesn't get on with the bike and doesn't get results. Since the bike seems to be so Marmite(for want of a better word) it's a brave move.

ducati will love him. he is humble and passionate. sometimes eh cries too much but then so does roger federer and christian ronaldho and it doesn't stop them being great.

hopefully he doesn't drop the bike a lot and can win without being very risky. bayliss was good but i think he dropped the bike too much

Shame Elias is moving, he's a bloody good rider when he's on form (that race he beat Rossi the year Hayden won the title) and he was showing signs of becoming that awesome rider who is really entertaining to watch just because of his riding style.

I actually like Hayden now, apart from his accent he comes off well, was good to see him laughing and joking with Rossi at the end of the last race.

Which reminds me, how can Rossi always be everyones favourite when he's such a bastard to any contenders, for example the way he messed with Gibernau, the digs at Pedrosa in the press etc. He's got the talent, he shouldn't need to play so many mind games.

i think gibernau came off as a prick tbh. pedrosa does too. i mean 55 kg for a man isn't right.

hayden won the championship a few years ago yet rossi didn't get too angry or disrespect him.

As we all know general dickheadedness is inversely proportional to weight. Therefore;

Keira Knightly=Superskank
Ann Widdicombe=Lovely

Wait?! Surely not!
