The world's fastest all-electric motorbike has been unveiled today at the international bike show in Birmingham.

The TTX01 is the most advanced emission-free bike on the verge of commercial production: it is already road-legal in the UK and its makers claim it can go from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, eventually reaching a top speed 125mph. A limited number will go on sale at the end of next year at a price of £20,000.

It's fugly, expensive and only has a range of 50 miles - but I like it. It means that electric bikes are progressing. Now give me one that'll cruise at 70, have a range of 200 miles with a recharge of around 4 hours.

Wonder if a race can with "Not For Road Use" bolted to it would still get you in trouble with the Police. Thinking Mr. Green

i'd settle for a 90mph top speed and a range of 150 miles on a single charge. If they could do that and sell it for under 5K I'd buy one.
