I want a pressure washer, but how does it all connect up?

For example, I have a drive at the front of my house, and an outdoor tap in the back garden. From the front to the back it is about 30 - 35 feet, would the standard equipment reach around? (fnarr)

You need a hose pipe to connect the pressure washer to the outside tap. Wink

We have a K4 at work, it can take water in from a bucket/barrel, a hose is the easier option, though obviously not practicable for everybody.

I presume the K2 can do the same.

You'd just need a long hose pipe and an accessible plug socket.

Yes, you need to plug this in, it has a 4m long cable.
It can't hold water, it must come from a hose with a regular clip on connection.

There's a detergent extension at the back which mixes water on the way through the machine,.. for the patio cleaner stuff.
There's a foamer refill gun from Halfords (which you see on u-tube) which also mixes with water but doesn't go through the machine.
I'm thinking you could use any type of cleaner and it wont affect the machine's working parts.

I only have a short garden hose at the back of the house so I'll be buying a longer hose to reach the bike.

The K2 doesn't have that function unfortunately.

If you are willing to keep checking, this site:

https://www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/

Can have some amazing bargains depending on stock and promotional offers at the time.

My K2 cost £35 plus postage. It came wrapped up like a new machine, with a dirtblaster lance and works perfectly.

I've yet to find a pressure washer that won't work from a syphon.

I have both. Letting Ste know is scarey becuase I dread to think what he will drag down here to wash down.

Aside from the minds eye of everyone on bcf, of course....

Goes without saying but be careful using pressure washers on bikes. Easy way to fuck up electrics and dislodge grease from where it should be like wheel bearings.

I'll use mine every so often to give the rotor buttons a blast on the floating discs (Easy way to keep them moving as they're not lubricated) and perhaps use the snow foam lance if I'm feeling that way but otherwise, nah.

That's cool, I've already got one, it's actually more powerful with higher pressure than yours. Just ask Mrs Nobby, she knows. Laughing
