I'm not convinced it's made from any bike bits. It all looks completely bespoke to me. The chest bares resemblance to a top fairing with an iridium screen, but past that I doubt there are any actual bike parts in there.

Is there any evidence to the contrary?

Hi, I only wish it was my site? The thing is i am really interested in things like this and i am convinced that there are a lot of parts of different bikes on this. I must admit the legs an arms look like they are custom made but even the thighs seem to have vents from a bmw z3 wings ? I think the front is to different headlight fairings cut and joined and the back defiantly has to side fairings in there. Also the shoulder tops look like peices cut from rear mud guards.
This is not trying to sucker anyone in to look at the site, its just helping me out and also its a bit of entertainment like a spot the peices of bike quiz. Thanks
P.S. I have removed link.

Lets look at the evidence... You join on the same day as you post, and you call yourself 'robot'. The site has a picture of a robot with no bike parts...

Pretty damning evidence IMO.

Guilty as charged.

Although the bit on the chest that looks like a top fairing + iridium screen does have bits in the right place for mirrors.

That's the only bit that looks bikey to me.

To be fair, if you came on to a bike forum just to ask about a robot, the name 'robot' might be fresh in your mind Smile.

The shoulders are mudguards and I'd agree there are a few other bits there.

The one shown was at Glastonbury, though I didn't see it myself.
There was some other rather more bodged looking constructs made that definitely were made from bike bits:

(okay, it doesn't actually have any of them, but I thought it was a cool pic Smile )...

the robot was developed for an old car Ad campaign I believe. therefore, there definitely shouldn't be any bike parts on it as it was completely custom made.

It did have a load of DNA bits (I own 1/3rd of a DNA); I was rather sadly standing starting at the various constructs trying to work out where all the bits came from.

Rufus;
If they weren't bike bits, they have very well copied some parts from bikes; seems a little odd they would copy motorbike bodywork making it from scratch, rather than just adapting bits available in large quantities in breakers.

Is this a law of car ads? Of course they will use whatever comes to hand to save cash.

Titan The Robot...

It was at The Great Yorkshire Bike Show last year. I've got a vid on youtube of it. Quite funny as it tended to chase after random kids.

There's somebody inside the robot suit. It takes around an hour for the guy to get in and out of it allegedly.

Yeah people have spent millions trying to create a robot that can walk like a human. The closest they came was Asimo, and he walks like he's crapped himself...

That robot was at Plymouth uni a couple weeks back, dancing and stuff with a massive crowd that had completely blocked in my bike. Didnt notice any bike bits on him as I was too busy trying not to to crash into people, cos my clutch is fucked and I couldnt disengage it fully, so I couldnt go less than 5 miles an hour, came quite close to hitting the robot actually. Would of made for an interesting insurance claim.
