You've gotta love the Italians, crazy bastards running round with that on the back of a Fiat 500 with zilcho security.

wtf!!!!! how?what?when?why? sorry... but as much as i like rossi if i found any m1! id go missing and later show up on crime watch ring its neck down the motorway. (if i could start the thing )

one question tho... the fiat 500? don't they have trucks or something that transport there bikes around ? i wouldn't tow a horse on the back on the back of that let alone a 200+ horses powered priceless bike

Maybe it was a promotional replica, maybe it was one of last years racing bikes?

But what actually makes it Rossi's M1 apart from his #46 livery? I mean these racers don't just have one single bike that they use throughout the year, but more of a stable of them to choose from instead. And this is not to mention the multitude of parts and spare frames from which they can build another 'new' bike if they need to.

I know that in Formula One the top drivers seem to only use the original and same chassis for typically say six to ten events, and very rarely do they use the same one for a whole season. I would guess the MotoGP bikes will also be swapped quite often, especially given the number of times the frame hits the floor in crashes.

So who is to say that Rossi ever used that bike or has even sat on it or maybe even seen that one? Apart from the Yamaha team who can probably tell you exactly what that 'frame' has done in its lifetime.

Still a nice find though. Thumbs Up

Looks very geniune - if it'd start I think it would be worth a record for, if your gonna twoc something, twoc something good right??

It'd be nice but I reckon those tyres would be horrible on the road. Would be funny trying to hide it/do any work on it/use it on any track if you did take it.

Awesome find though with some very good close up pics. Just on the sheer value of the bike - I'm amazed they stored it overnight like that.

I've seen/worked with valuable assets for companies when on the road and normally they'd be handled by trusted logistics companys, not some italian with a Fiat 500 and a Trailer. Still, absolutely wicked and yeah, I reckon I might have nicked that and thought later.

If it was purely a track bike then I doubt it due to weight but if it was just a promo bike but still real then it could be likely? Cool

That's pretty cool! I'd have nicked a few bits of it and put them on ebay Laughing

I notice Bridgestone have made them change the tyres and stickers.

I remember in the last motogp race on europsort, they mentioned one of rossi's bike was going to be towed between new york and the GP by a fiat.
