I just got a road legal stainless oval can (+ all fittings etc) with removable baffle, for £104 + delivery for the Blandit.

£26 saving over last week.

Hmm, im thinking of getting a new exhaust for my Blandit too.

Do these cheap ones sound nice?

I have a Viper zaust at the moment which 'blurbles' when slowing down. Will these cheapo ones do the same?

Viper is cheapo anyway. Its as cheap as you can possibly get!

I've got a Fuel on my S4 and its really nice. It has a removable road legal baffle and sounds OK with it in. I haven't tried it with the baffle removed because apparently it makes a massive hole in the midrange (according to the previous owner) and to be honest I don't really like really really loud inline four exhausts.

*UPDATE*

Well it came and it was thus fitted.

Removable baffle seemed to baffle my mechanic mate who did the fitting for me on the weekend. Usually you'd get a small allen bolt or similar that holds the inner sleeve in place, which you can remove to take the baffle out. Well, this one came with no such fixing and it appeared that the baffle was non-removable instead.

Well, no problem. I didn't really want an offensively noisy pipe because they are a bit of a chore on long journeys, a pig-magnet, plus the neighbour has just given birth.

So off I go with my new can and to be fair it sounded pretty quiet, especially subtle at low revs and a pleasing tone when up in the rev range.

Well, that was until this week. On the way to work I go over some of London's finest road surfaces (not Confused ) and one particular bump was followed by a 'clank' and a 'tink-tink-tink'. Well I'm pretty sure that was the baffle. Mr. Green Am I the only person who can now claim that a baffle has actually fallen out legitimately? Neutral

The bike is now viciously loud. As in, 'mad a a fecking hatter, loonie on the loose' loud. It sounds like I'm travelling 399mph everywhere and everyone is staring at me when I'm at the lights. Shifty

It's a pain because the power seems to have suffered which I'll now have to sort and the thing is probably putting me on the Environmental Watchdog register courtesy of my neighbours.

Still, the pedestrians of the Smoke now have no excuse and I can pretend I'm Rossi with every blip of the throttle. Every cloud eh?
