Hey, just noticed ive only got a dribble left in and the nearest place is a mile away and is a small 24hr Esso.

Do you think they will have any ? (ive never needed any from there)

Also how will this harm the bike ?

Thanks, Cosstick

Probably(most petrol stations carry 2 stroke and 4 stroke oils) and yes it'll harm the bike, it'll seize the engine.

As it's a 2 stroke if you run out of oil in the oil tank, the engine is running with no oil, so it'll seize very very quickly. Get your mum to nip there in the car and grab you some, don't ride the bike.

if you proper run out, just re-filling is no good sometimes, and the pump may need bleeding.

Reminds me of the walk to the chippie for tea last night...

Passed a neighbour who was just getting into car to go out.
Gets to chippie and who is in front of us in the Q her daughter and mum is parked outside.
Gets our chips and walks back and car is back on drive.......

Total distace from our house to chippe about 100 yds, so theirs is even less.....
Me and Mrs had a right laugh about it. Just cannot believe how lazy some people have become. She could have easily just sent daughter to get them as well as she is more than old enough. Rolling Eyes

Don't ride it without oil in. Even if there's a few mm in there it may not be enough for the pump to pick up - you run the risk of seizing the engine, and that will be very expensive.

Also, make sure you bleed the pump after you fill it up.
