A very confidence inspiring bike, I've only ridden the older model once and it was great. Ended up buying a new model and I love it... found myself going quicker on the ride home from picking it up than I would of on my previous bike. Official parts can be a pain to wait for, though as they seem such a reliable bike that isn't to much of a worry. ____________________ Biking brings together strangers, takes away friends!!!

I just bought one last weekend but haven't done enough miles to give you a review yet. I've done 300miles but all in the rain so can't really comment on just how good the handling is.
One thing I would say is that they seem to be going really cheap just now. I've seen dozens of 2000/01 bikes go for less than 2500. I picked up mine, a 99 with 21k, full MHP system, Ohlins shock and fork internals, steering damper, R&Gs, Harris clip ons and a few other extras including a buggered battery for £1711. It's a little scuffed from a gentle spill but nothing I can't live with.
Some real bargains to be had
Would still rather a TLR though. |

I'd quite fancy a Futura myself if it wasn't for the worries about parts
Seems like such a good recipe for a bike otherwise ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

I think after I get married its going to be a toss up between an RSV or CBR600RR
CBR6 would be more suitable, but the rsv is pure porn, for the eyes and ears
Boo decisions!

Dont do it, the CBR600RR is one of the worst bikes ive had, sure it rides ok, can tour and is probably great on track.
But it has NO midrange power, you will find yourself constantly revving it over 10k because below it, its crap, id be more likely to lose my license on the 600RR than the 1000RR.
Also Honda build quality aint what it used to be, infact the build quality is absolutly shocking on the 600RR, mine was falling apart after 10,000 miles (2005 model). ____________________ Ducati 1299 Panigale

what about the rsv1000r nera?
like rocking horse manure, but they look so awesome
take the RSV Mille R Factory and add the latest in light weight materials:
- carbon for all the body panels,
- magnesium wheels,
- full titanium exhaust,
- titanium nuts, bolts and fasteners,
- new molybdenum disulphide surfaced pistons,
and you get a bike 10 kilos lighter (at 175kg) and with 3 bhp more (141.3 bhp at the crank).
Only make 200 of them.
£25k

I have an 04 RSVR factory with some extras, Tri oval cans, 143bhp at the wheel,(dyno'd) Harris levers, one tooth off the front, screen, some more carbon bits added, but to answer the question is it any good?
A friend and I recently went to the Moto GP round at San Marino something like a 2200 mile round trip my bike performed bloody well under the circumstances, very comfortable for me (5"8) good mileage giving around 140 miles at 90mph before filling up, engine is fantastic and never missed a beat and just in case you think I am biased I also have an 06 tricked out blade and an 05 sprint ST 1050 and I would not have taken either for the trip.
It's going up for sale in a few weeks when i return from Iraq, 6,000 miles full DSH, T&T, USB 3 Power commander, BHC filter mapped to cans (143bhp at wheel), dubble bubble screen, harris raing levers and all original parts as well need more pics just ask also have a video of the cans, sound awesome...will be looking at around £4.5K
