Spain 9th Dec Pictures***

The Lovely Wendy and I are off to Spain next week for a weeks chilling and getting in some riding.

We are going to base ourselves at villanova Park just up from Barcelona, Staying in a chalet. it is pretty cold and plenty of snow here where we are so don't fancy riding the 450 miles of motorway and wasting a tyre so we are going to trailer a bike down.

I hope to head north one of the days and ride the N-260 below Andora. But all the rides are pretty much open to suggestion but need to be relatively nearby as don't expect to start riding before 10:00 and want to be back for 17:00 latest (ie before the cold creeps in)

So any suggestions?

9th through 15th December 2008 - Down to Barcelona Spain Wendy's Mum Joan and Partner Tony were spending 6 months in a Camper Van at a Park in Villanova Nr Barcelona. We trailered the FJR down to the park where we stayed in a Chalet for a week whilst mixing some riding with some visiting family.

Day 2 we rode the coast road North along The Mediterranean - 200 miles...
The weather was sunny but the wind was very cold, when we headed in land towards Vic there was a hard frost where the sun had not penetrated the vegetation.

Day 3 we went to MontSerrat - 150 miles
We had been told the road was real twisty and rose up high to some spectacular
views - When we arrived at the south sideof the mount the access road was closed due to ice and generally bad road conditions so we cut across the national park area and round to the North end where we climbed steadily up to the Monetary at the top.<

Day 4 we went South to Tarragona - 150 miles

The road from our northerly point tp Tarragona was clearly a bikers road as we met a large number of bikes in groups of 3 or more having a Saturday rideout.

Once we arrived home in France we were greeted with 4 inches of snow but luckily the electric had come back on after a black out in Le Theil for 2 days
