love rideing in the rain BUT!

Went to HG today to buy some stuff and it was dry day... left the shop 10min later pouring down with rain and my visor(helmet) covered with small dropplets. It is extremely difficcult to see as it was dark and the baring brake lights of cars made it even worse.

What do you guys do when its rains, other than stay indoors?

there are several things which can be done.
for example:

- wipe your visor with your glove every so often
- get a glove attatchment to wipe it easier - can also get or make things to sit on your bars to use
- when travelling at higher speeds than town speeds, turning your head to one side (look out of the corner fo your eye so you can still watch the road) then the other is very effective and good for not having to let go of the bars such as on days with high winds or in more dangerous situations like overtaking lorries etc
- but by far the best, is to just look through the rain, ignore that it's there and see through it if oyu dont think about it it can be very easy to ride without the rain being a problem - then you'll only need to do one of the above every so often, you'll get used to this after riding in super heavy rain for a long period of time where letting go of the bars every minute gets annoying after a short space of time. i did this very well when riding in the rain and high winds with luggage and a pillion for 8 hours because i didnt want to let go of the bars too often incase side winds hit us and down we went - so i just looked through it, then turned my head every so often.

ride easy now that winter has started again and we have all of the salt, ice etc on its way. be just as careful of grease on sunny days too !

i tired to look through the rain but the dropplets just made it worse when the front car brake and on on comming car as I dazzle me.

When it rains the whole helmet gets wet how would it help by looking through the corner?

If the brake lights in front a dazzling you, i would say you are too close.
As to traffic coming the other way you have to learn to look where you want to go, not at their lights or the glare.
Keep your speed up and turn you head from side to side to help clear the visor.

I find cheap supermarket polish (Mr Sheene type) works well to stop rain on visor when heavy, but can be a pain when its just misty stuff.
Other than that just keep wiping visor with one finger, just the bit you need to look through.

You do get used to it and it becomes 2nd nature that you can't really see where you are going at time.

i use this https://www.shinearama.co.uk/product.php?id=COL-476S-9oz give the visor a few coats lasts ages makes the water bead so it cant stick superb on the bikes paintwork aswell
