for those who dont know A&L have been fined ~ £7m for tactics used against people who took out personal loans between Jan 05 and Dec 07

Anyone who has taken a loan out with them which has included insurance protection (PPI) between these dates are entitled to some money back.

I took a loan out with them and was pushed into getting PPI by Tariq (bless him) i didnt want it but was told i'd have to take it if i wanted the loan.

I presume other folks on here took loans to get bikes etc.. so thought you may wana know. Apparently A&L will contact everyone who took a loan out in that period (sure..). If anyone knows what else can be done to speed things up it would be great to know

Bastards, had my loan out in Feb 08, typical inconsiderate arseholes couldnt hold out a few more months

I just called them up (08700102008)

the guy i spoke to was a great help, took all my details, gave me a ref. etc said their team would call me within 7 days (would be sooner but they suddenly got a lot busier )

if you still think you were forced into PPI then call them, you can still submit a complaint, the date the claims lead to may change as more information comes out.
