step up in bikes?

hi i am gonna step up from my yamaha dt125r to a better bike in a few months please can people give me some examples of bikes which are the 'next step' in becoming a ''respected'' biker im not young so i dont need to worry about insurance too much! something around a 600 is good!

What sort of bike would you like? Similar to your dt or different?

Do you mean respected "Biker" or Motorcyclist ?

Either way riding 2 wheels is great fun and a different world to car divers

I have the same kind of bike ,and when (hopefully) i pass my test i also want to go bigger.

I asked for advice here last week ,and what i gathered from feedback is get a 400cc and get it restricted.
