I dont feel that my current 60/55W headlight is enough to be safe especially on twisty country lanes.

After a long ride on back lanes eyestrain sets in with the poor and corners become nightmarish.

Im looking at rigging up some driving lights, maybe 4" units with say a 35W bulb in.

Any advice on lighting??

Cheers, Rich

i dont know what bike you have but any auto electrician will wire it up for you if you fit all the parts.
you will need a relay, switch, lights etc.

you may also need a higher spec battery depending on what bike you have. some get away with it, some cause problems.

if you have to do it yourself then a quick search on google for a wiring diagram with a relay etc will make it simple.

i may have forgotten something but i'm tired and it's late lol

Depends what bike it is, something like a GS500 or a Bandit would definately not need a new battery, to be honest I can't imagine any bike would need a new battery just to supply 60 watts to an extra pair of lights. Doubt you'd need a relay either, the fuse, relay and wiring to the existing headlight should be perfectly adequate to run two off, though depending on the guage of wire to the existing headlight you would probably need to run a seperate set of wires to the relay (likely to be a 30A relay), otherwise you may overload the wiring with too high a current.

Make sure you aim the extra lights, not only is it a legal requirement but there's nothing more infuriating than badly aimed headlights or foglights, it's as blinding as high beam.
