Still trying to find a 636 near enough to go have a decent look at and that someone doesnt want the same price he bought it for. The bloke from blackpool who wants £5200 for his 05 636 THIS MEANS YOU!! I can get a brand new pre reg 06 model from £5299 FFS!

Anyway. Im starting to get confused over model numbers and what they mean. I know Im looking for the C series but I keep seeing things like C6f and C1H and all sorts of variations. What the hell does this mean??? I ideally want the last model 636 (06) before they went back to 600cc. Where does that leave me? What are the differences!? So confused Confused

Cheers Thumbs Up

The C1H is the 2005 and the C6F is the 2006 - the last of the 636s. The only difference is the C6F was available in black and had a slightly higher screen because the screen on the C1H cuts across the clocks when you look at them.

Want to buy mine?

Hang on hang on hang on!!

In order, Joe - what you selling? What is 'mine'?

Ram_doom, please tell me you havent crashed that green one you posted in my last thread?

Im not going to go for one as old as 03 Luke, Ive never had the biggest faith in kawasaki's so Im looking to go as new as I can reasonably afford, plus I like the fact that they made the 05 and 06 in clean colours with no hideous stripes or gory graphics all over them. Thumbs Up

Reliability on my '05 seems good. Apart from crashing it/dropping it expenses Rolling Eyes , nothings gone wrong so far (but only 7000 miles on it so far as only just started using it for day-to-day use). Think they've only just finished the 636 engine version as when I went in the showroom about a month back they had'nt got the 600cc one in yet.

Think a lot (636) were sold on o% interest free finance so may be a fair amount of them knocking about out there. Have seen some quite cheap ones as well so worth having a good old butchers around.

As stated,, the C1H is the 2005 model,, which was the first model with the underseat exhaust pictures below.....

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/Rn3.jpg

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/Rn2.jpg

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/Rn1.jpg

Oops
https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/24-06-06269.jpg

The 2006 bike could not be named the C2h model because thats the name of a car,, so Kawasaki used the next avalible which was the C6f, the 2006 model which is the exact same as the 2005 C1h model but a year newer..... Also pictured below.....

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/black01.jpg

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/black02.jpg

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77/Richie-ninja/black.jpg

So both the bikes are the same..... Good luck with the search,, they are fantastic bikes and you will love it when you get it......

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i'm also looking at Ninjas.

Cant for the life of me find a decent list on the interweb of years v's model numbers.

So after the C2F they went back to 600cc right?

Looking at a 2006 F1 model, but cant find any info on it. What changed from the previous model apart from the reduction to 600?

Cheers

Are you sure its an f1 sounds wrong. The 06 model is C6F same as mine and the 2007 600cc is a P7F. F1 is something like 1997.

i have the C1H (trackbike) and C6F roadbike.

i love them both and both been 100% reliable.

i'm not sure but i think from the C6F (06) they used the year in the model number as suzuki do with K6 K7 K8 etc etc.

Spot on people thanks. It was listed as an F1, but this was obviously an error! It was an 06 C6F.

Went to look at it anyways, it was mint. Black, 2k on the clock. For a shade under £3500, I couldn't really not buy it! (so I keep telling myself anyway)

Got to wait till Sunday now though before I pick it up.

Happy, Excited, Frustrated.... and a little bit scared!

it is as light as fook and if you keep it under 9,000 rpm it will be sane. they have a fair bit of mid range to enjoy.
go above 12,000 though and hold on for your life lol

mind the front brake, very sharp and i only use 2 fingers at the most Thumbs Up

I like the underseat exhaust on the C1H (I like underseat exhausts in general), I'd love one on the B1H and that'd be perfect.
