Hi,

I have recently been ill and lost some weight... my pants are now too big, was wondering if there is any way of getting them smaller again.

I was hopeing they would go back to normally but them seem to be falling of me?

I paid £260 for the pants and dnt want to go and buy new ones.

Thanks

the trousers are not likely to shrink to fit you. so your two options would probably be to get new ones or to put back on the weight you lost while you were ill. its cheaper - but if oyu are happier with your weight now then new trousers aer the way to go.

Thanks

Before I wore the pants there wear tight at the start but after wearing them they before just right... then I fell ill and loss the weight and now there are big.

I was told by someone that if I was to put jus the waist in water and let it dry then it would shrink and go back to its normally size or similar.

It might but the effect would be temporary and they'd never be quite the same again.
Get something of ebay, no doubt in a few months you'll put weight on again anyway.

This is the solution to your problems.

I'm a fat git, but I remember when my wife was pregnant, she was only 7 stone and told to put on weight. How ace is that, being told to eat lots of pies.

I've lost 2.5 stone this year, finding it a 'problem' with loose leathers (and it is a problem, trousers won't stay up) but manage (sort of) by zipping top n bottom together. Not sure how good that'd do me in a crash though...

Next year, newer bike new leathers (i hope) and stay off the pies...

I'll try and bring some sort of sense to this thread.

If you are going to stay at your lower weight, there are tons and tons of companies whi alter leather clothing.

I understand that G deliberately buys oversize leathers cheap off ebay, then has them altered to fit perfectly.

Post a thread up on asking of reputable leather alterers in your area, or speak to your friendly local bike shop - they should know of someone.

There are specialist firms that will alter your leathers, this one for example

Haha, my stay in hospital after my accident, i lost 4 stone.

They prescribed (yes precsribed) me a full cooked breakfast every morning, protein shakes...and they tried to give me calogen (its crazy that stuff, you get like 500 calories in about 30ml of juice...but its minging)

Anyhow, look in your yellow pages/thompson local and look for leather alterer companies, they are bound to be some in your area.

Or if you don't want to do that then eat loads of pies and stuff. Either way its gonna cost you a fair bit of money.

Here you go - wear it under a hot shower, then stand out in the sun wearing it to dry!

Loose leathers will just twist your skin if you have an off.
I know some guy went to our local 'leather repair' place to get some modified.
Cost him £50 roughly.
Not sure how it was done, but the guy had given up riding for a few years, decided to re-do biking but lost alot of weight - and couldnt afford a new pair of leathers.
