maybe the fact that the 2 stroke thing died in the first place is a good reason not to buy another one, this is my opinion, 2 stroke is fine for peds and mx bikes up to 250cc but not for supersports, my nsr is a pain the ass but it looks nice but thats not the point if ur trying not to throw money down the drain. Arrow

You were just unlucky.

2 stroke need a lot of maintenance but it doesn't mean they can't be good bikes. They just need lots of TLC.

My 125cc 'supersports' ( Laughing ) never let me down in 12 months and 7 thousand miles.

A looked after 2 stroke will do you well, I wouldnt let the one failure put you off. Mind you if you go out and buy a 500 quid 2 stroke thats been abused then your probably onto a loser anyway.

Unless it's a late '80s 2 stroke sports bike, then it's probably the right price.

My Aprilia RS 125 has been nothing but joy, have'nt had a fault with it yet, my chain come off because of me being a tit and kept putting off the service but its all sorted, nothing has gone wrong with mine on its own, 2 strokes are v.good bikes if you look after them, if you abuse them when running them in *cough* supersport *cough* then the things will fuck up.

Everyone knows a 2 stroke needs good quality oil, regular services and just general care, if you do get one just keep your oil topped up and get it serviced every now and again or do it yourself etc. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Doubt you will have much luck swapping a car for a bike on a bike forum... were bikers not cagers (well some drive cars but thats not the point im trying 2 make Razz )

To be honest you lifan is going to be worth more if you traded it in for scrap or break it and sell parts individually because if you leave it for a few months it will just disintergrate and you will be left with a large pile of rust and 2 tires

Secondly if you want to flog your motor stick it in the for sale section Thumbs Up

Any 2 stroke is good for anything not just mopeds and a 250 MX bike needs alot more attention than a Roadgoing 2 stroke all you have to do is keep ontop of it and use good quality oil in high powered demanding bikes

You fucking retard. I gave you stern instructions to kill yourself for the good of the gene pool yet my senses are still assaulted by posts like this.

Your NSR is a pain in the arse cause you're a chavvy wrecking twat with zero mechanical sympathy. A Honda 90 would be living on borrowed time in your hands.

ahh! it's not just me who gets caled the names then lol

Loving the way you saved up all your full stops and then piled them in at the end of your post!
