I was a little pissed off with my back wheel looking, well, sh!te? And i deffinitly wasn't going to be paying no hundreds of pounds to get a new one. So this afternoon i started taking things apart, cleaning them (in my el cheapo vinigar tub mix), priming, spraying and lackering. Heres a few pictures to show you guys, let me know if i done everything right (I know its abit late but...)

That looks brilliant mate, good work.

One thing though - your sprocket looks absolutely SHAGGED!

Yup, that sprocket's knackered. See how some of the teeth are sharp. That's where they're so worn. Next step will be some start shear off and the chain will start to jump as it's just running on stumps.

Done a good job of the painting though! Thumbs Up

The teeth are hooked and like knives. Also... you can tell by the black marking on the sprocket that the chain's been sitting in further at certain points....

Get a brand new chain and sprocket kit... will be anywhere from £30-£60... not expensive.

Random guess, but is it a CG 125? If yes sprocket an chain kits cost less than a tenner.

Yeah, it is a CG 125, could you point us all in the direction of a cheap sprocket and chain set please?. i would pay £30-60, but if theres one going for a tenner, im all ears.

Lol carl, yeah i've done abit and learn't abit too. Had the exhaust of yesturday and cleaned all the rust from the underside. Shiny shiny now. Allthough it's gonna take a few miles to get rid of the brasso and autosol smell to burn off, yuck!

Cheers

Lol, you can't advertise that something is as cheap as x, then say only to those in the trade. Anyway, I'll keep on looking.

Depends if you know someone in the trade though doesnt it, im not advertising the fact, mearly making you aware.
Im more worried that i knew that wheel and drum was off a CG just by picture.
