Is an awesome piece of software Thumbs Up Mr. Green

Just installed it with xp on my mac and also got desktop manager, switching between os's and all looks so swish.

When i can be arsed to make a linux iso i might even install that and switch between all 3 os's on 3 different 'virtual desktops'

Does it handle USB devices in the XP instance? That's one of the things that bugs me about Microsoft's Virtual PC.

Cool Smile

One of the reasons I didn't go Mac is my homemade guitar synth wouldn't work as I use C# for the controlling software and .NET doesn't run on a Mac Smile

Please try VMware Fusion... About 30 of us at work used parallels but swapped over.. VMWare runs so much better and hogs the host less.. You get a 30 day trial and you will convert...

VMware even lets the Xp virtual machine use its built in web cam etc (if it comes with one).. Set up the Vm and get XP installed. Then activate the web cam... XP will even find the drivers on the web search (that never happens) ... Well worth a try..

Agreed and the fact it can be done by bootable cd or on the fly makes it even better...

I have done a couple of VM contracts and when it comes to VMotion it gets even better.. A good 3 server cluster as the header (and more of course) set up to transfer the servers from one host to another if the become too busy rocks....

It can only get better from VMWare they have proved that.....

Ok cool.. well if you do get to try VM please do..

We moved away from parallels because the mac updates bricked some machines when parallels was installed...
