Orange bulbs in Honda Indicators.

Just sharing a little knowledge really. I've got an 02 Hornet, with the diamond shaped indi's. I wanted to de-tango it with the newer smoked indi lenses from an 08 CBR. The pattern of the lens is identical, but obviously the CBR has an orange bulb inside.

Original orange indi's use a 382 bulb, which is clear. New, smoked indi's use a 581 bulb, which is orange. The pins that locate the bulb are offset, presumably to stop you putting a clear one in a 'clear lens' fitting....

So, your friendly Halfrauds won't be able to help you much further here, but a friendly auto electrical shop will be able to get you a 343 bulb - it's orange with the right pin configuration.
