Hi

I am trying to get the tools together to do my fork seals next Sunday, rather than buy a fork seal driver tool i'm planning on just using a piece of pvc pipe of the right diameter to fit into the recess on top of the seal and drive it down. Should this work without causing any damage to the seal?

Will I need any other tools except the right sized allen key to undo the fork cap (and obviously all the normal sockets, wrenches etc)?

I've found tutorials on the internet but I'm just wondering if anyone has any specific experience with this bike, as it would be helpful.

Cheers!

I usually just get a bigger bit of plastic tube, then cut a chunk out so it's just too small and tape it up; you're lucky if you've got one just the right size.

Don't know about on your bike, but on some bikes there's an allen-head bolt at the bottom which in some cases you need an impact wrench to undo, as otherwise it just turns the internals.
On some bikes you can undo it with the top cap on; the 'proper' way is usually to use a special tool, which can sometimes be bodged.
