I love the max payne game's, such a good and very noir/dark story and amazing soundtrack. And then holywood come along and suddenly an amazingly cool franchise turns into a piece of cheese.
But i'll watch the film though to see if they've done a good job on it. Won't hold my breath though.

I've never seriously played the games but think that trailer looks really really good.

Think the film might be good as a stand alone as long as you dont try and compare it to the game/real world.

I would say the same of the fast and furious franchise though.

As I remember when number 1 come out and it said 4 games are planned as well as movies to go along with the games.

I think it looks good, apart from it seems to have a slightly supernatural element to it, I hope it doesn't and it is like the game. Just simily about crackheads, guns and power. The games are awesome I bought them both on steam about a week ago I'm on the second I forgot how fucked up the dream sequences of the first one are. The second one has a much better engine but the story aint as good.
