Hey,

Im torn between a bandit 650k8 and a sv650 (same price) after my crash on my poor old sv650 Sad so its choice time and i can afford both of these bikes (insurance wise etc.) What are peoples views on the two bikes? i have ridden both and i like both just as much as each other, so id be looking to do about 10k a year mileage with the odd pillion trip and ofc the odd hoon at the weekend!

I'd have the SV over the bandit 650. Only really because of the race parts you can get for the SV. And I think they look cooler.

Bandits are either crap streetfighters that look like a tart's handbag or they're a middle aged commuter bike.

Think of all the minitwins racebike goodies you can bolt on. Race scrubs, rearsets, pipes, suspension etc etc etc

I'd still have the SV. Less bland.

see this is what im worried about, i hadnt ridden a il4 before the bandit 650 (which i did about 30 miles on) and i found the top end rush exciting and it seemed faster than the sv i had

Get a hornet. Better than the Bandit IMO. Huge amount of parts available too.

i must admit i did like my sv just i dunno i was getting abit bored of it really, the bandit seemed abit more powerful but that mite of just been coz it was a il4/v-twin etc. The only reason iv been looking at suzukis is because the nearest garages to me are suzuki garages so i just thought it would be easier/quicker to get fixed (under warranty etc)?
