Depends on your definition of bad

A) Nicking a few mars bars from tescos
B) Riding 5mph over the speed limit with no consideration for kittens
C)Adolf Hitler And his opinions and remedies
D)Buying a chinese bike

You get the picture ??
Thumbs Up

No...they're worse than that.

Seriously, avoid it completely. You're lucky you had the sense to come and post here asking for info. If you then follow the advice given you, then that alone has saved you either a lot of money, and/or your life.

Try to find a review of a Chinese bike that says "has served me well, done over 5,000 miles with no problems for the last 2 years".

Then look at the number of eBay auctions there are for "nearly new bike, very low mileage, just like a Honda".

Steer well clear.

And you have to ask if its any good.......

Unless of course you know its been nicked Wink

I know things depreciate and with the credit crunch, a lot more than normal, but thats a joke.
A 2 year old bike that has done 20 miles a week should be worth a lot more than £300...

So just were has it done the miles then ???
Mind you would you buy from someone with spelling like that....

GCSE standard ain't what it used to be eh ?

Seriously though Daniel, Chinese made bikes are that bad. Please save up for a bit longer. I know it's frustrating when you have enough money to get something, but it'll be even more frustrating when you've got a bike that you can't ride as it's always broken.

My RXS cost £250 I had that for a year and it did not need any replacement parts until the headstock bearings went about a year in. Not bad for a 20 year old 2t. I did about 6k miles on it. All I did was change the oil and air filter.

Now looking again some conspiracy theorists may actually think that you might be the seller of the bike on ebay and were trying to drum up interest

if your serious get a cg for £500 and do your test.

however if you want a fun 125 and dont mind doing some work then a NS or NSR 125 is a good option.

Warning ! Do not buy superspacks NSR <snigger>

A lot of people rate Hyonsungs, which are not to be confused with Chinese crap. They're South Korean, and have a much better rep.

Would still recommend an NSR, unless you want to pass your test asap and move up to a bigger bike, in which case save your money and pick up a cheap Honda CG.

hi,
3 or 400 seems to be the going rate for these bikes....
i'v ridden, stripped & rebuilt one of these & owned a couple of other chinese bikes.
very cheaply made frame.(blind welder?)
tyres dont like the rain. (or corners) though it has a decent turning circle,
easy enough to work on though (& you will have to work on it..often)
cheap plastic body panels that crack very easliy. (also easy to repair)
90-100mpg but top speep of 55-60.
seems most that are for sale are around 2 years old, which is usually the max time they will last before some serious work needs doing.
if your lucky enough to get a really low milage one that hasnt been off road, treat it as disposable.change every fairing bolt for decent ones, (check every other bolt) change oil often(cheap mineral oil).put a decent plug in,change the carb for a mikuni 29mm.& if it lasts a year be happy.
cheers,
GAZ
