I'm well flash, I control BCF with my mind.

In the end he had to ring his brother to go to his flat and find his breakdown cover number.

Something was fuckered with his alarm I think the imobilizer kicked in whilst he was doing a ton plus in the fast lane of the M25 then it wouldn't start and the alarm clicker didn't work.

I have just got back.

If you lived in the nearest village, would you not lend a hand?

Laughing

I'm curious as to why he thought the best place for his breakdown cover number was at home, surely in the day and age of mobile phones not only should it be in there, but if he knew who the company was, a quick ring to directory enquiries could get that or ring a friend to have a look on the net for the number then give them your details, wouldn't need your membership number just name, address, registration.

Immobilisers on bikes are pretty straightfoward to remove at the side of the road, usually single point immobilisation but sometimes two so if it is you just need to remove one of them which is usually on a CDI wire, the other is usually on the starter circuit which you can leave on so you just bump it and you're away, with the alarm going off while you ride. Worth learning the basics to avoid it happening again, alarms aren't reliable. Also remember a lot of fob batteries are 12v ones, so if it goes dead you can wire it to your bike to activate the keyfob, just check the keyfob battery is 12v before you do it, some aren't.
