Just heard Coulthard refer to having a 'tank slapper'. Laughing

Anyone know if he's a biker?

It's a phrase often used in car racing. Smile

Sod Coultard...

Bordais on the racing line...Massa runs into him and spins.

Incident investigated...Bourdais penalised and Massa gets an extra point.

FIA ruin another ace with a decison that favours a red car.

Fatty Mark blundell owns a 848 Laughing

The penalty for Hamilton I think is fair (if unusual) and as for Massa... well, all four wheels off the track to nudge Hamilton out the way? Yeah that's a penalty.

What was Bourdais supposed to do? He'd accelerated out of the pits, kept a tight line to not block anyone, and taken the apex in T1. Massa pulled a moronic move (AGAIN), and the completely innocent party gets a penalty? Insane decision. Basically, Bourdais was probably more courteous than anyone else who'd exited the pits because he kept so far right, he just had the misfortune to have Massa come up behind him and be typically impatient. Massa could've so easily gone underneath him on the exit, too.

I'm not a Bourdais fan by any stretch but he had a really excellent weekend and to have it ruined by a non-penalty? Not on.

Problem is because it's a "drive through", as we've recently discovered, it CAN'T be appealed....

James Allen and Martin Brundle are both bikers, They regularly say tank slapper in the commentary, Raikkonens crash in Singapore for example.
They've also mentioned riding to a European Grand Prix (Germany?) a couple of years ago.

I won't miss James Allen and his Ferrari bias (His son is called Enzo) when F1 is shown on BBC next year.

I thought the decision against Hamilton for the first corner event was ridiculous. He didn't hit anyone, Raikkonnen said he was pretty easy to avoid and locking up at a corner and cutting up the field is just part of racing. Not saying it was a good move, it was pretty amateur tbh, but if they are going to start giving drive-through penalties for that, then the only way forward for F1 is down....even further down.

I don't mind Massa, but the only reason he got away with what he did, especially the Bourdaix incident, was because of the colour of his car. It is a truly appalling state of affairs and desperately needs sorting out before next year's season. Not that that is at all likely with that nazi Mosley in control...

Mosely should be gone in the next year or so hopefully, and thankfully james allen is gone, he was ok as a pitlane reporter because you didn't hear/see him very often so i suspect he might be going back to his day job and F1 will no longer be the 'lewis hamilton' show.

Anyone hear about Max Mosley?
He's going to the European court of human rights to have the law changed in the UK so that newspapers can't print things about you without your permission.

Don't expect Mosley's departure to make much difference to the Ferrari/FIA relationship, considering who's widely expected to be his successor.
