Hi all,

Doing quotes for a ybr 125 and its expensive Confused so looking for some advice to get it a wee bit cheaper! Im 19 and in glasgow. Garaged, no alarm/immo.

Heres what ive tried,

Gocompare/Confused/Thebikeinsurer comparison sites,

Cheapest out of them 3 was "H&R" at £330.44 with an excess of £750 on a £1000 bike Rolling Eyes .

Then tryed some sites direct/over the phone, Quinn (£500), bennets (£400), CarolNash (£524), dial-direct (£410).

Realistically, the best price is £350 from MCE with a £350 excess.

Im doing quotes for TPFT, is it worth it, or should I do TPO for about £300, even if i do claim for theft will it not raise my premiums for the future on both the car/bike ?

Thanks,

adilxs

If you want cheaper insurance then unfortunately the only option is to grow up a bit.

I didn't even look at a bike until I was 25, was getting plenty shafted with motor insurance Wink

I'm 20, with a car license of 2 years, my brand new YBR125 is £273 TPFT from MCE, they were the best i could find, most were £400+ annoyingly. TPO is pointless, if someone nicks the bike you get nothing for it, chances of someone nicking a bike are far higher than stealing a car.

I've been looking to downgrade to one of these next year.

Just some info on me; 19yo, 3NCD full liscense living near Newbury, Berkshire

Through MCN compare i got a quote of £105 TPFT or £176 fully comp. Both with £0 excess.

Thats on a 2002 YBR 125 worth £950

Nick
