What's the slowest the rider could have been going to NOT see the lorry edging out?

Bad news, R.I.P. Sad

My Dad's ZZR was sheared at the headstock by a low speed crash, the front slid into a kerb at the central reservation for a bollard after he came off.

Not a bad crash, bike in two pieces. Our machines, and ourselves are unbelieveably vulnerable. Even more so now winter is coming in, it's darker and the roads are slippier.

Let's do our best to not be next guys and gals. Be safe. Wink

RIP - Sad News.

I know it is no concelation but I would rather go out quick like that riding rather than be resusitated and spend my life in a wheelchair or worse paralised from the neck down or neck up for that matter.

We all take this chance everytime we get on our bikes and hit the streets, that is what makes us different from the relatively safe Car Driver and why they seem to have no respect for us (unless they too ride) Wink

Ride like it is your last ride and enjoy it everytime or give it up...

I've told my family that they better be prepared to surrender body parts to keep me going. Fancy letting me have one of your kidneys to keep as a spare?

Ok, i'll keep a note in my jacket for them to find if the worst happens.

'Give a kidney to Ichy if I die'

No explanation, just that lol

Why wait until you die?

I do a collection service, I just have to make sure Tesco have enough ice in to fill your bath.

Shamlessly ripped from another bike forum

"They say to live each day as if it is your last. So I'm spending today laying in bed slipping in and out of consciousness."

RIP biker guy, condolences and thoughts are with yet another devastated family.

I found this accident to be quite unerving. The wife has been busting my chops to ditch the bike since.

On the day it happened I normally travel up through the junction at Sainsbury's at the same time - 07:10.

I needed petrol though, so went to Gravel Hill. Just as I was filling up, all the ambulances and fire engines went past, from Addo. No doubt I have crossed the fella's path on a few mornings.Sick

RIP, biker man.
