My 7.5Tonne leyland daf truck, in a rather fecting Notts county coucil colour scheme at approx 1-30 PM this afternoon on london road Notts, i had a feeling you where gonna do it, you could have at least given it a few beans but NO you just changed lanes right in front of me !!! FFS i was about 5 feet away from your rear end when i hit the brakes and beeped me horn (woke up then didn't you ?) what was that slight head movement before you changed lanes ? mirror check ? well your mirrors must be rubbish how do you get a 24 ft long 8 ft wide 11 ft high truck in your blind spot ?

yeah might help if i give some details black/pink textile jacket, black shark helmet, black/silver Suzuki GSR 600.. plate FD06 OPL...

Pay attention now.

RANT OVER....thanks for listening

Nice bike BTW. Looked very tidy.

You're a biker and didn't anticipate a possible lane-changer?

yeah i was watching her (presume it was an her from the colour of her jacket) how else would i have seen the head movment before she changed lanes, if it where me (not that i under take ever !) i would have given it some else changing lanes would have been a bit pointless, i was expecting her to do the same and then i would not have had to hit the brakes.

I know it may sound like a stupid question, but whats so bad about undertaking? Surely if the road isn't stupidly busy, and the car infront doesn't look like changing lanes, a bike has the power & agility to undertake?

dont flame me too much though Smile

It is the risk that the car in front suddenly decides to
get out of your way by moving across into the vacant
space that you on the bike have now just entered. He
doesn't look for/see/expect your bike to be shooting
down his inside. And you are going to feel some
serious pain - if you are lucky!

It's a biker's decision. We own the road. Cool

Tend to agree, it's not always but 90% of the time a woman who comes bombing down the sliproad onto the motorway parallel to my truck (i'm unable to change lanes for cars next to me etc). I'm watching them and they're looking dead ahead tunnel vision, then at the last minute I come into their tunnel vision as they reach the end of the slip and they realise they're next to a 50foot truck slam the anchors and start wobbling all over the place in a panic to tuck in behind, often with kids in the car, unbelievable incompetance.
