How much of a prat am I?

I just sold the DR and I'm supposed to be taking it to it's lucky new owner on saturday so I just went through all the docs.

I completely forgot the guy I bought it off, in April, asked me to post the V5 for him. I forgot. I still have the V5 with all my details written on it in my hand. Bollocks.

Regardless of the legal implications of riding round on a bike not registered to me for the last six months, could this be an omen to not sell the bike I have loved more than any other, or am I just a div?

I'm most gutted because I was swapping it with a gorgeous ZXR750 and I was properly looking forward to making the most of the weekend on it.

Ring the person up and explain it, see what they want to do. And apologies for dicking them around a bit. They will probably be alright about it.

It could mean that if it is fiddled the right way the bike looks like it has one less owner...

I have rang him, he understandably wants the V5 in my name first, I wouldn't expect him to accept it any other way tbh.

He said he'll keep the ZXR for me, it should only be a couple of weeks at most anyway. Can't help being a bit gutted though, I was really hoping to get it on saturday.

As long as it's sorted by the NEC I'll be happy.
