These rants are comming too often Brick Wall

The saga i have with these muppets continues, i finally got a cheque through to cover my lost earnings (yay) but was for the wrong amount Middle Finger

I call them up and after ages on the phone they say i must resubmit it all again... the person I spoke to said I would actually get less then i have asked for because they hadn't taken tax off the amount Evil or Very Mad

I am just wondering, is the DSA able to take tax off your declared amount? - every one's situation is different so how is it that these morons are able to apply tax to a loss of pay thus giving you less??

I had a huge rant about it stating my situation and enquired as to how they can esablish this... i now have to wait for another manager to call about it.. is this incompetent department really able to do this though? apply tax dispite peoples circumstances being different...

muppets... absolute muppets Rolling Eyes

You were employed by the DSA and they owed you for unpaid wages?

When you were eventually paid they made deductions according to your tax code?

Confused

Surely you should still end up with the equivalent of what one day's take-home pay would be?

The cheque you've got through from them, how wrong is it? I'd say to pay that cheque in and then set about getting any additional amounts from them.

They took me to court for not taxing a bike that had been declared stolen four months previously. They had been informed by the Police and myself it had been stolen and STILL issued a summons.

The Judge giggled.

I was going to claim for a days wages but the Judges face was reccompence enough!

Nice. But the OP is on about the DSA, not the DVLA. Wink

Talking of which, I rang the DVLA number today, got through to a real human person after one button press, she was friendly, helpful and resolved my problem.

I nearly fucking fainted.

DSA.... DVLA they are both the same, both packed with muppets all competing for the darwin award

- to be honest the amount its short by isn't a great deal and by the time i've argued with them it won't be worth it,

The manager in charge of the case said i would have to provide proof about tax on the amount in the cheque? i said i cant do that until the end of the financial year when i get my tax bill... so she insisted i would have to wait untill then Thumbs Down Brick Wall

I've accepted the amount i have been given and made a point of saying the DSA is thee most incompetent department i have ever come across, if my clients ran their companies the way the DSA is run i'd be out of a job and they would be bust

oh well.... me 2 DSA 1 Wink
