Today a lad pointed out that my Tax Disc was at the back of the my bike.
I said, And...?
Then he said that theres a new law that states that motorcycle tax disc's now have to be at the front of the bike (like front wheel not near the chain/rear wheel).

Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Thanks

It's not a new law. The tax disc is meant to be displayed to the front left of a vehicle.

You'd have to really really annoy a cop for them to try and do you for the tax disc being in the wrong place. Laughing

mine is bolted where the rear peg hangers were, always has been.
31 odd years and the tax has always been at the back somewhere on my bikes, never at the front.

i've been ok Wink

Yeah, on my bikes it's at the back too, actually on my current bike I think it's under the seat...

But now it's all computerised and the police can instantly check whether a vehicle is taxed or insured, why do we still have to display them? Sounds like the law isn't keeping up with technology
