1. You're a troll. Rolling Eyes
2. It's a 20" frame, that's far to big for a mountain bike.
3. It's Apollo, they're poor quality.

So no, don't buy it.

like the cg, its best to go 2nd hand like a marin bolinas ridge or some other base modelof a high quality brand, as again, like the cg its made by one of the best manufacturers and should still be in good usable condition pretty much regardless of age.

What's wrong with Apollo? I had one and abused it and it never let me down. Had it for something like 6 years.

Apollo bikes...

- Shitty quality frames
- Shitty quality components
- Sold by Halfrauds

If it's only going to be used a bit then an Apollo will be fine. If it'll be used much then you'll have problems. Parts will break, you'll realise that a 20" frame is completely daft for offroad use, you'll notice that the weight of the bike is similar to the weight of an elephant. Eventually you'll end up flogging it in the free ads to some mug. Wink

Then thats down to you not servicing it correctly, much like the NSR then?

never ending puntures

Down to you riding over inappropriate surfaces for the tyres, or too many skids, incorrect tyre pressures or just down to you not looking after the bike. In essence, not the bikes fault.

pretty slow as well.

Peddle faster then, again not the bike.

Whats wrong with having a 20" frame? My mountain bike has a 24" frame and is just right for me.

How tall are you?

For a mountain bike you want to be able to comfortably stand over the frame with both your feet flat on the ground. Generally a 20" frame or 24" frame will cause bollocks injuries.

haha, he could have a point as some bikes the frames are like tanks, had mates with apollos and that, used to lift my haro up with one finger, and took both hands for a apollo back then Laughing

Anything halfords sell cheap is wank if were being honest,
i bought one of there own name "Shockwave" bikes cost like 120 about a year ago or so, rode it to school day in day out, rear disc binding and then warped, and the gearing cocked itself up, where it kept skipping onto the wrong bit of the derailier bit.

For someone with your IQ i reccomend this:

https://img205.imageshack.us/img205/3158/radioflyerclassicredtrigv8.jpg

The radio flyer! Comes complete with 'go faster' tassles, can do a good 5mph restricted. Take the restricters out and i reckon you could get at least 10mph, maybe more with renthal bars.

Thumbs Up

If i were you, I wouldn't bother with apollo, its halfords budget cheap bikes. If you must, try and get a carrera. those are made by saracen and are pretty good bikes. I've had my bike for 3years now, a carrera Kraken, bought for £200 (RRP£400). and its been soild. its a 20'' frame and I'm about 5foot7 and I'd rather go for a 20'' then anything else.

What bike is it?

But a bike for £150 with hydraulic brakes and triple clamp forks is likely to be very heavy, not very good quality and not very usable. Confused

i dont know if they've changed the spec on krakens (or if they still do the model name), but mine was a half suspension (just the front) mountain bike. I'd say don't bother with full suspension bikes unless you really need it for off road.
