Rock Band On PS3

Right, basically I need something to fill the void until Guitar Hero World Tour is out. Is Rockband any good? I've seen some videos on you tube and the graphics look awful. So if anyone can help out that would be cool.

Will, rockband piss's all over guitar hero for graphics, guitar hero is fictional comic book type characters, rockband is more realistic with the looks of people, completely customisable characters that look a shed load better than GH. not sure about you PS3 boys, but with the xbox 360 you can download new tracks, bloody loads of them, best one has got to be oasis


Plus the fact that Rockband is a full band, 2 guitars, drums, and microphone, which makes for an awesome laugh when people come round for a piss up.

So if I ordered rock band from amazon I'm assuming it comes with the guitar? Instead of buying the game and guitar separately.

do you already have a guitar from GH?, Guitar hero guitars work with Rockband as well you know, no need to order another guitar if you already have one.

GH controllers only work for Rockband on the 360.. not the PS3 or the Wii (even though they said it would) Apparently can be fixed but it's a lot of hassle or something.

Only one song I can't complete on expert on the guitar. It's the one with 2 solo's, with the second one being longer than half the fucking song!

Can do a couple of songs on expert on drums but very few. Enter Sandman is awesome(but easy). I also find Run to the Hills much much easier on Expert than hard... which is odd? I can get just under 60% of the way through on expert and only about 30 on Hard.

Also... who cares about graphics? Thsi isn't a game about graphics it's about playing and being able to play the music.

Rockband is awesome but if you re tight for money then wait for the GH one as the drums are/will be better

do Ps3 guitars not swap over then? can't you use a GH3 guitar with Rockband?

Nice setup, I've only got GH but my neighbor has rockband so I'm pretty good at it.

I have to bring my GH3 guitar over though, the rockband one's terrible.

They said it should be able to be used, on all 3 consoles. But from what I've heard (and experienced on my Wii) is that it doesn't. Only on the 360 does it work straight away. I think I remember reading somewhere that you can use the GH3 guitar with Rockband but need to download certain updates or something

And tbh, I prefer the rockband guitar in some ways and the GH guitar in other ways.

For solos it has to be the Rockband guitar. Finger tapping is awesome and much much easier

Also, you can buy the guitar on it's own fro RB, but it's like 80 quid or something while the band in a box (drums guitar AND a mic is like 100?) So for 20 quid extra you will get the drums as well.

Ok so I bought rock band today, asked the bloke in game weather it would work on the ps3 with a guitar hero guitar and he said yes. So I got home put in on and it doesn't work It keeps saying that I need a microphone attached even though I didn't buy it with a microphone. And I can't find a way to change the game settings from microphone to guitar. I've called game since and explained and all they said was to check there's nothing in the usb slot and check the settings.

Anyone know how to fix this?

on xbox 360 in order to use the mic you need to have a normal controller plugged in, otherwise it won't work.

I don't want to use the mic. I only bought the game without any instruments thinking I can use my guitar hero guitar. But when I try and play it just keeps saying that I need to have a mic plugged in when I want to play guitar.

My advice: Take it back and wait for GH4 which will piss all over rock band anyway.
