Hi, sorry to start another thread but i just remembered another problem i had.

Bike: 1992 Kawasaki KH 100 Ex g8 - 2-smoke

The problem is, when i get to a certain amount of revs in 5th gear it feels like it jumps into neutral, or the chains fallen off (revs fly up and speed goes down), i always panic when it happens and downshift so im unsure at the exact time it happens.

It can cruise at 50 happily in 5th but when it goes past 55 this happens

Any ideas what it is ?

Thanks again, Simon

it sounds like the dogs and selector fork are worn, at 50 you are just cruising so not stressing the worn parts, at 55 you are just getting on the power and stressing them into slipping out of gear ...

it'll not get any better only worse, i reckon you need two gears and a new selector (always change as a pair)
