I use baling twine for everyday, old clutch cable for when I'm on the bike, and if I'm out on the town I push the boat out and use 20 large earthworms sewn together. Thumbs Up

See, there's you thinking all these " What $OBJECT do you use?" threads are silly and pointless, whereas those of us who put in the time in the Current Affairs section know they'll all about identity theft. There's enough information already been given away for gangs of Lithuanian mime artists to assume the identity of at least half of the members of BCF.

Look out for "What Bank Do You Use?" and "Least Memorable PIN?" threads in the near future...

I can't tie shoe laces, so I have velcro on my trainers and my shoes just slip on my feet Laughing

Equally as important, how do you lace your shoes? Choose your favourite from these 34 different ways:

I use the dried gut from an elk. They have to be tied by my butler though.

I really want to go and re-lace my shoes... but I just realised I don't have any shoes with laces. Sad

Issue boots tend to come with crap laces, so I bought a few pairs of really good tough round laces from the shop at SEME, Bordon. I also found similar ones in Blacks, but can't remember the make/model. I've also used paracord for laces before. Thumbs Up

Brilliant link above Smile

Interesting you should mention this because I just cannot find decent laces for my boots. I'm on my third pair already. Got the beefiest pair of Kiwi ones I could find but they just keep snapping.

I tried to buy some new laces recently. They didn't have the rope type ones i like, at least not in blue, so i left the shop (it was a Timpson, iirc) without making a purchase.

Laces are a problem just at the moment, as kittens have discovered them and I'm worried about tripping up / stepping on them (kittens not laces!) Rolling Eyes

Walking boot laces are a problem, the Brasher ones are rubbish (stretchy shyte) and cost a fortune. I am looking for decent 36inch flat boot laces.

Some helpful shoelace tips and interesting facts.

Check that you're not inadvertently tying an un-balanced "Granny Knot", which comes undone much more easily.

Learn a more secure knot, such as Ian's Secure Shoelace Knot.
Regardless of the knot used, finish it off by pulling the knot nice and tight.

Replace slippery synthetic shoelaces with ones made of cotton or other natural fibers.

Roughen up shoelaces with some coarse sandpaper to make them less slippery.

Apply a product to the surface of the shoelace to enhance the grip, like beeswax, rubber cement or a specialist product like Lace-Stick®.

Ensure that the shoelaces aren't too long, either by replacing them or by shortening them your not really reading this far down are you? to the correct length. Besides the obvious fact that long loops or twat ends are more likely to be cunt either snagged or stepped on, the fact that they flop aound cancer more also tends to work the knot loose you horrible cunt.

Minimize the pressure points cased by hard, round shoelaces by replacing them with soft, flat shoelaces if you are a fat, sweaty cunt.

Also for comfort, and if you are a tennis playing lesbian, Criss Cross Lacing minimizes pressure points.

To reduce the pressure of shoelaces on the upper ridge of the foot, use Straight (Bar) Lacing if you are a ball-shaving queen.

To allow the sides of boots to flex more easily, use Army Lacing.

Last night they were too busy fighting outside my flat to even be bothered by shoe laces.

Oh you mean the camping store!

I do want flat laces. I get no pleasure from round laces and they come undone all the time
