Police speed gun

Hey i over took a van in a 40 i was probaly doing about 45-55 and i saw up ahead a police man with a gun slowed right down. When i went pasted him he said summat and gave me the tut tut tut with his hand gesture. Am i caught or has he let me off. I thought he would of have to pull me over.

You've been let off i'd imagine, he would of pulled you over otherwise. Well from my experience when they get you on the gun they have a car waiting round the corner to pull you over, unless your in a car then they just write your reg down. Even then they still pull some cars over.

He wouldn't of turned round to get your number plate as the gun wouldn't of picked your vehicle up if there was 2 next to each other. Too innacurate, count yourself lucky this time

Well two miles up the road there was already a guy in a silver corsa being pulled. I flet sorry for the guy Yeah i though that with speed guns unless there linked to a van and video equipment then they can send you letters out but it was just a lone guy gun and his car parked up.

I got done by a speed gun on the A40 they were on the bridge and I still received a letter... But I have been told that you are aloud to do 10% + 2 over the limit.

It was probably the fact that you were overtaking at the time so the gun didnt have enough time to register you as a different vehicle to the van you were overtaking... so the cop knows you were speeding, but hasnt got the evidence of the gun to prove it.
