My PC has recently started randomly Blue screening and closing programs.

Every time the Blue screen states a different message and Programs will just stop working especially if I tried to use them.

If I leave me PC on for a while and come back to it it will say it has recovered from an unexpected shutdown and most of my startup programs will have windows up saying hey have had to close.

I can't pin point where to start chasing this error. I was thing dodgy ram. Any easy way to find out?

it's a 2.4 quad core overclocked to 3.4, I doubt this is the problem as it has been running solidly like this for a while now and it's max temp is about 56. 4gb of ram and vista ultimate 64.

Error logs?

Oh, and why not return it to standard speed for the moment while you diagnose.

It has been doing this for a few weeks now and I tried to diagnostics last night which crashed at the end afer that it has been fine Confused I haven't been able to watch more than 3 minutes of a video without VLC crashing out use it for more than an hour without it BSODin but it has been fine. I'll see if it stays this way, if not I'll knock down to normal speed then start taking RAM out.

Check the RAM with memtest, often the 1st thing to fail with overclocking, plus its the cheapest and easiest thing to test. I take it the overclock was Orthos stable?
Sometimes overclocking can knacker the windows install so thats a posiblilty, though it usually does that almost straight away not weeks later.
