Will running a cooler plug in a bike help if its running lean?

Reason for question.... My SV has a full system but standard jetting. having checked the plugs yesterday they we fairly white (indicating lean mixture?) so wondered if running a cooler plug would help? I know having it jetted to suit would be ideal but im being cheap. Wink

Being cheap will cost you an engine. Plug temperature will not effect combustion temperature.
In fact a lean (hot) engine will need a hot plug to run but it will still melt your piston.
