Might be useful as a price guide. You'll notice they don't like the CG much, and seem to think Suzuki engines are to be avoided. No Hyosung GT125R either (or comet) if you're interested in those.

Article is now void. No-one should listen to any of that!

I was more interested in the tech specs & value - comments on bikes usually vary everywhere you go.

The reviews are biased and the ratings are ridiculous. But still a good reference for any noobies wanting to know what's available in the 125cc market.

I don't agree with some of the ratings/reviews on that list at all. A lot of the stuff contradicts what lots of people here (and in the real world) say. I would suggest to newbies that it's a good place to see what kind of 125cc bikes are out there but to search these forums for better information/opinions on the bikes they're interested in.

I'm not sure how they put that list together. Confused It's like they've randomly guessed the "performance" part. Confused

Some are clearly (apparently) extra powered, with (an apparant) higher top-speed, yet they're rated less in performance than something with a lot less power and top speed.

Maybe it depends on who is giving them money. Obviously Yamaha must have given them a pretty big wedge of money Laughing

45mpg for a Honda City Fly? That's got to be a typo surely.how can something with pretty much the same engine as the CG produce half the fuel consumption

Notice how the Kymco at 75mpg is commented as "fuel consumption is superb", CG at 100mpg = not a peep Thinking

I posted the following in the original thread.

Look at what they think of the Honda CG125 vs the Yamaha YBR125.

No way is the Yamaha equal in build quality to the Honda.
Yamaha = Made in China
Honda = Made in Brazil (at least it has for the last several years).

Motorcycle News has reviewed both bikes and have a different opinion.
