Hello

i'm looking for some advice on how to change the gearbox oil on my sons scooter, he's had the scooter now for a few months and i keep on nagging him to change the gearbox oil as it hasn't been changed for a year now.

i did have a quick look to see it was simple but i couldn't even see where the drain plug is located, perhaps i'm being a bit simple myself but i'm useless with all this stuff.

if anybody can help who knows about these things and could possibly send a picture or instructions on how to change the gearbox oil i would be very grateful indeed.

kind regards
neil

Don't bother, no one ever changes the gearbox oil on scooters.

I think the drain plug is on the inside of the variator casing.

yup as chives said thers no point changing it unless theres a problem with the bike, a years nothing my aerox aka "pile of crap" has never had the gearbox oil changed and its a 02 plate Very Happy

the drain pluag is at the bottom of the tranny casing at the back if you still feel the urge to change it, its a bolt not a actuall plug Wink
