brighter blubs (xenon)

One of my bulbs on my CBR125 can gone and tbh the standards are Can't see far in night riding and the full beam is... lets not go there.

I'm sure most of you guys have had some experience in this area... any recommendation?

HI,
those ones that halfrauds sell, that claim to be 50% brighter, there pretty good.
& osram nightbreakers (i think there called).
best cheap bulbs i've bought were out of lidl! bluish tint to them & extremely bright.

Was told by a friend that I can get a bulbs which give a hint of orange tint... which grabs the attenstion of the driver. Because normally car drivers see blue / white light in the wing mirrors but a orange tint would make them more aware of a biker.

is it possible to get a bright orange tint bulb for a CBR125?

if you can get osram nightbreakers for your bike try giving them a go.

The CBR125 uses 35 watt bulbs.
You will find very few types of bulbs available in 35 watt.
Normally you can get Halogen and non Halogen and thats it.
Your local Halfords should sell them for £5.99 in the motorcycle section.

You may be able to get better 35 watt bulbs over the internet but be carefull there are fakes out there.

Take old bulb out to see what connection type it is.

I've check out philips and osram but they dnt do blubs for the CBR 125

HIDs are brilliant, but are fairly expensive and require a bit of fitting. If you know what you're doing I can't see it taking more than a couple of hours. Although I did read that if you fit HIDs you should change your light lenses. Also where does MOT's stand with HIDs?

HID's are not type approved when retrofitted to lenses designed for conventional bulbs. It should fail the MOT, although if the light pattern in ok you might get away with it come MOT time.

tbh I'm not going to be keeping this bike for long as I planning to do my das. So spending too much money is not worth it in the long run.

I don't mind spending about £20-30 on some blubs which are really good and safe, but just can't seems to find any for the CBR125 there are some on ebay but I they belive to be the fake stuff.

Go to your local bike shop and ask for bosch halogen.

I did that for my CBR 125 and never looked back (cos i can see forwards now .....I'll get my coat). They are better than the normal lights and work for ever. I never used to get flashed for having main beam on but now I do.

One tip, dont bother with ebay. I brought a pair, and they'd been wired in reverse. At least from a bike shop you have a person to talk to face to face

The first thing i would suggest is getting your headlights adjusted correctly, you would be suprised at how much better your night vision is with a correctly adjusted headlight.

If your bike has the old fashioned big round bulbs, you can get direct replacement halogen ones, they have the same shape mounting and connectors as the round buld but they are much brighter and whiter.
