I've got an endless supply of 160gb drives for free at work at the moment so i've not bought one myself.

Just looked at one of the pictures I was saying about, and there roughly 3.4mb each, so it should be more than big enough for a few 1000 of these ?

Not particulary cheap though especially for aldi. Would rather go for a well known brand for the same price off the 'net.

Have a scoot on play.com

Depends what you want it for, desktop generally means you need it connected to mains power so a bit of a pain for lugging around. Portables are cheap as chips now and they run off your USB power.

Generally the external hard disks based on 2.5" notebook drives do not require an external power supply while those based on 3.5" desktop machine hard drives do.

Think the Aldi one is a 2.5 " one.

All the best
