Not really?

Cold, wet and some ice in the mornings but not too bad for nearly November.

Still got leather trousers on, cold love spuds yes, but not breaking the textiles out just yet.

I have changed to the textile jacket as its certainly more waterproof than the leathers.

I have taken to wearing a thermal top, but still wear a thin top over it and have still got leathers on. It is still autumn, sun, cold & a few showers (ok torrential downpour on Saturday resulting in flooding in the north).

As quickly as it seemed to turn from Autumn to Winter (i.e. 24 hours) you can bet your bollocks it can turn back again just as quickly.

So no, not just yet.

I was REALLY fucking cold tonight! As cold as the worst of last winter! You think I'm exagerating, I'm really not!

Although as some people have mentioned, it will probably be sunny in a few days! Fucking britain (doesn't even deserve a capital letter).

Hahah I bet it is was colder last year.

Every year you find the first month of cold weather FREEZING then everything after that isn't as cold.... until the first month again. Just takes time getting use to it.

So we have one little frost and people are shouting its winter.....
Thank god that the bit of snow that did fall was not in London or that would have been the end of the world, comming on top of the credit crunch Laughing

Council have been out gritting the DRY roads..... Dammed things are like riding on ball bearings... Then we have to be ready for the excuse that, come next year, should we have some snow or inclement weather, they won't have enough left and have spent their budget already... Twisted Evil

Its not that cold yet. Not till you hear your gear crack as you are getting off the bike as it breaks the layers of frost that have formed and the breath in your helmet has frozen.....

I think that as a nation people are becoming far to soft as far as the weather is concerned. To much time in central heated houses and cars that have heaters that work.... Unlike the good old days where you used deicer on BOTH sides of the windscreen Shocked

I was ranting away to one of my friends when I was walking into college, he must have thought I was mad.

Gritting the roads when they are dry just makes them wet and greasy for the next week, it is figging ridiculous, and if there is any rain it means the roads wont dry properly for weeks.

GRR! (and I don't even have a motorbike at university with me Embarassed)

Yep was out last night.

The only thing concerning me a little is the dampness of the roads that may be icey come a sudden cold snap.

Pfft, call this winter?

When I was young, it was winter when the snow was knee deep and it was -25C, until then it had been a fairly nippy autumn. We still had to ski to school and play outside during the recess.

Ah, happy days...

I went out at 8AM to uni this morning, the little droplets of water from last night had frozen solid to my cover, had to stand there for about 5 min shaking them all off... Cold enough for me thanks...

My cover was rigid this morning, my ignition was frozen solid, my hands got so cold that they felt warm, and my bike was missfiring and fouling its plug.

Cold enough thanks!
