Hi everyone, so basically i bought the bike back in may time, off a friend of mine, and only sent the v5 stuff off last week.
That all went through fine, but as im still not on the road (my test is on the 17th of this month) i've just done the online SORN thing. But as i've got to the end of it it came up with:

"There has been a gap in the licensing of the vehicle.

Previous Tax Disc or SORN declaration expired on: 05 05 2008

It is an offence to be the registered keeper of a vehicle that is unlicensed and does not have SORN declared.

You can declare SORN from today’s date, however, please note the above offence still applies.

DVLA’s Continuous Registration Enforcement Centre may be in contact with the registered keeper regarding this gap in licensing."

So what should i do? Wait to pass my test and do the SORN down at the post office? Or do it now and see if they contact me?

Thanks in advance.
Thumbs Up

Should be OK. I had a gap of Nov-May this year, got the same message but nothing came of it.

Do it now, it came up when I taxed my RX-S but nothing ever came of it.

The longer you leave it the more chance you have of being prosecuted.
