picked up my '94 cb-1 yesterday and found, other than being rather quick, both the throttle and clutch are hard work to use. not sure if this is because im used to a cbr125's controls, or if it's because the bike has barely been used in the last year. is there anything i can do to make them less tight?
cheers

Lube the cables and maybe change the bar grips.

changing the cables would be what i would do, lubing them may be an instant 'semi' fix but theres nothing like new ones.
also lube all the external clutch pivot points and lever pivot with a bit of engine oil.

May also need to lightly grease the inside of the twist grip barrel too. Only very lightly though.

Like above lube and grease pivot points, if lubing the cables doesn't work new ones, but remeber to lube them before you fit them
