Thought that was what the little green flashy light was for?

Don't really see the point as car drivers seem to leave them on and they have a ticking noise and a flashing light.

Just get into the habit of hitting the button after turning or look at the clocks once in a blue moon.

Reminds me of a gear indicator or one of those stupid cords that go from you disclock to your handlebars - may have some sort of function but at the end of a day it makes you look like some sort of spastic.

Can you imagine sat at a junction in town with your indicator on and some daft buzzing noise goign off? People would laugh as they walked past. If anything this thing would deter me from inidcating full stop. Reading that advert is like a shit version of dragons den, some numpty trying to make money for absoute shite!!

A guy who was doing his training on an RS125 when I was doing mine had one built into his alarm. After so long it would start beeping as the alarm thought you had forgot to cancel your indicators. When we were sat at traffic lights he kept cancelling his indicators and putting them back on because the buzzing was annoying him.

they can be handy at times i guess.

the bike i sued for my training before my test and for my test had one fitted because new riders can often forget about their indicators being on in the midst of thinking about everything else they need to do for their licence. so its handy then, but it can get very annoying when your sat at traffic lights on red for a long time.

could be useful for filtering perhaps though - specially in summer when people have their windows open. as i always leave my right hand side indicator on when filtering to make myself more visible to oncoming vehicles - so this would beep and cars that you filter past would maybe hear it and look to see what it is, thus seeing you can hopefully not being a knob and getting in your way. might help prevent some of the U-turn crahses that seem extrmely common.

I've seen one done ,BMW man had one then changed his bike, his premise was that instead of directly connecting it to a buzzer, he would connect a relay to the indicators and connect that to a capacitor , once the capacitor got enough charge it would open another relay and start the buzzer took about 15 indicator flashes , but then he was often stuck at junctions for ages so improved it by having another switch running off the brake light in that at junctions when stopped you are supposed to have the brakes on...

It's not hard to remember to turn them off when you've been riding a while but I guess it could benefit newer riders. I suppose the consequences of leaving an indicator on could be pretty deadly so if it's a problem then maybe not such a bad idea.

I personally think it depends what you've come from. People who come from cars will be used to having them cancel themselves, I started off with bikes so it's been drilled in since the moment I started riding. I've forgot to cancel my indicators twice, both times I was messing about with my visor.

Nope, had the car licence 9 years when I started on bikes and never had a problem.

Just get into the habit of hitting it with the thumb when going round the corner

It was just an example, but I believe it will be easier if the only thing you've ever had is indicators you have to cancel.

All that effort, he could have just learned to turn em off.

Had to be a BMW bloke didn't it Laughing

So someone in charge of a litre sportsbike has that much trouble remembering to turn his indicators off? Shocked

I'll stay well out of his way.
