05 model is my fav, i can only go off looks really. Still not had the chance to ride one. Its on my list of things to do ASAP. Dying to find out what the difference is like compared to my FZ1.

I dont like the new 09 model, they look like this

Thats not the new R1, thats the PB Mock up of what the new R7 should look like. That bike is photoshopped lies.

People have been posting that pic claiming it to be the new R1 for the past few years.

depending what you are looking for having never ridden an fz1 i don't know the difference having ridden all three of the r1 s in my pic 2000 is an animal its brute force and ignorance in a bike the 02 is a real nice ride good in traffic as well as the fast stuff just lacks a bit of power top end mine 05 is a pig in traffic but once you get it on the twisty man she flys if you do buy n r1 two things to do set the suspension up (sag) remove the rear foot pegs its not a two person bike and enjoy one of the best bikes on the road

aint it mad how different all the bikes are in your pic. Just shows how much they evolve over the years.

Wish i got on with sports bikes better, its the whole clip on bars thing that i dont get on with. I just seem to be able to throw bikes around that have proper handlebars better than with clip on's. would be interesting to see if i could get hold of a complete R1 engine with injectors n stuff and throw it in the FZ, hehehe that would be an interesting ride Smile

edit - yeah i fucked up on the pic, only realised it was'nt the correct bike after i had posted it. What a nob!!!

no no try and get a whole r1 the drop bar thing i do understand but its the propper position to be able to be at one with the bike and you can get your knee down in quite a short time but As i said set suspension up loose rear pegs (and top box ) invest in good rubber and go play i wore my left knee slider out in France (they have the best lanes ever)good luck im off to work now

Not legal. It is if the vehicle's old enough, or military. It's tiny though too.

Do you get pulled much for it?
